The bitter cold weather has one bonus. The cold temperatures have frozen the “Chatard Pond” so deep that it’s been certified for skating.  So, tomorrow at 2:15 p.m. students will have an ice rink.

Student Life is sponsoring this event and providing the skates and hot chocolate. Music will also be played while students skate.

The administration decided to make Friday, Jan. 19 a dress down day so students will wear warm clothing to school as well as be ready to skate right after school.  Skating is available for all students, faculty and support staff Friday, Jan. 19 from 2:15 – 4 p.m.  When Mr. Joe Hansen, principal, announced the event, he reminded all students to bring winter wear (gloves, hat, warm socks) so they can enjoy the newly-planned event.

Big Bounce Fun House rentals will supply enough skates for all students to be able to skate around the pond. Adults will be present to supervise.
