As the first spring games start up, some freshmen are making a bang in BCHS sports. Sarah Meek, freshmen, has been playing lacrosse since 5th grade. She did wall ball, fall ball, and practiced her left hand during the preseason while playing basketball. She has started the last 3 varsity games and has taken many beginning draws. Her goal for the season is to have 70% control of the draws and a goal every game. On the baseball field after playing since he was six, Andrew Sowinski, freshmen, is beginning his high school career strong. He had hitting, fielding, and technique practice during the offseason and winter to prepare for the this season. His objective is to help the team end with a winning record and develop as a better baseball player. Nicolas Napier, freshman, began volleyball 3 years ago. He played in a summer league and attended open gyms held by the BCHS volleyball team. His ambition is to play in more varsity games. As Meek and Sowinski, Napier also wants to complete his season with a winning record. So while watching spring games this season be sure to keep an eye out for our freshman.
