2014HockeyHonors
It is extremely rare to win one of these awards from the Indiana High School Hockey Association, and to have both of these awards going to students in one school is quite unbelievable! But, Bishop Chatard students Nick Mpistolarides and Sam Cavendar have been so honored.

Nick Mpistolarides won the Robert Gillikin Award. This award was established in 1991 in honor of Robert Gillikin of Columbus, IN. It is given to the player that has the best dedication and sportsmanship for the entire state of hockey and has the “Best Mental Attitude”.

Sam Cavendar won the Matt Crace Memorial Award. This award was established in 1978 to honor Matt Crace, a dedicated sportsman and an accomplished hockey goaltender, who died in an auto accident at the age of 15.  This award is given to the player that has the best academic achievement, citizenship, community, and school contributions, and leadership in hockey.

Congratulations!
