Head football coach Vincent Lorenzano steps down

After 16 years of coaching here, Head Football Coach Mr. Vincent Lorenzano has decided to step down. In an email to all BCHS families, he said, “I have been lucky enough to be a part of 10 State Championship games, 10 Semi-State Championships, 14 Regional Championships, and 14 Sectional Championships during my tenure.”

Mr. Lorenzano said, “I am humbled to have been a part of such great people at Bishop Chatard High School.”

He has been coaching football for a total of 34 years and after much prayer and consideration, he felt as if it was time to step down. However despite this, Mr. Lorenzano will continue to work at Bishop Chatard.

“My fondest memories will always be of the players and the families. The loyalty and dedication of the players and their families has always been the driving force behind my coaching,” Mr. Lorenzano said, “I am humbled to have been a part of such great people at Bishop Chatard High School.”

He said, “It has been a wonderful run. Trojan forever!”
