In a nail-biter 5-set game last night, the BCHS girls volleyball team took home the Regional Championship with 15-13 fifth game victory over Cardinal Ritter. The Raiders snapped up the first two matches, but the Lady Trojans came from behind with an electrified crowd to capture the win. “It was a close game, but we came together in the end because of the team unity and school spirit,” said senior middle hitter Becca Coan.

One of the biggest volleyball crowds showed up to support the team. “Having so many fans and the student body there made it so much fun,” said Coan, “It changed the game. We played better because of the energy that our fans brought.”

The team advances to semi-state Saturday against Our Lady of Providence at 12:30 p.m. in Jasper.  If they win the early afternoon game, the team will play for semi-state championship at 7 p.m. against either Northview HS or Jasper HS.  “We would love for everyone to come to semi-state because we’ll play better if the student section is as hyped as it was last night,” said Coan.
