BCHS 4 Kids attends IUDM

BCHS 4 Kids spends the school year coordinating various events to raise money for Riley Hospital for Children. Their biggest fundraiser, BCDM, is taking place January 17. Members from the committee participated in IU’s dance marathon Oct. 31.

IU Dance Marathon helps in the planning process of BCHS Dance Marathon and helps the committee create different ideas. They invited Hannah Nickol, senior, and Alexis and Amanda Puente, juniors, to attend their 36-hour dance marathon.

“Their marathon is so great with keeping their spirits up throughout the whole marathon. We learned several ideas to keep everyone energized,” Nickol said. She also said that the committees have worked hard to create the BCDM and can’t wait to see it all come together.

Nickol said the sign-up for Dance Marathon is normally sent out during finals week and continues until the day of the marathon. For those wanting to get involved in BCHS 4 Kids: the call out meeting for the committee has already taken place,  but participating in the different fundraisers they host and signing up for dance marathon is a way to get involved.

Their next fundraiser is tomorrow at the Panera on Keystone from 4p.m.-8p.m. If you present this flyer when you pay, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to BCDM.
