As the school year is coming to an end, many teachers are looking forward to next year. This includes Publications Advisor Mrs. Tracy Luke, who has recently named the positions for next years journalism staff.
Many new staff members are excited to join the team and further accel their journalistic abilities. Their hard work and creativity has earned them the opportunity of participating in the 2018-2019 BCHS journalism staff. These talented students have shown promising work in either Beginning Journalism or Beginning Photography. New member of yearbook staff Libby Kolbus is eager to participate. “I am excited to be on yearbook because it is a chance for me to be a part of BCHS in a way not many people get to be,” said Kolbus.
However, staff will consist of well experienced returning members such as junior and 2018-2019 Trojan Matters editor, Janie Gleaves. “The new staff has people from lots of different activities and groups which I hope will give Trojan Matters more variety and fresh new ideas,” said Gleaves.
Although the journalism program is anxious to begin working with the new staff in June, many talented Senior journalists will be missed in the upcoming school year. “Every year, it’s so hard to say good-bye to the graduating seniors, but when I look at this list, I know the journalism program is in good hands,” said Mrs. Luke.
